PE RE JA, which was founded a century ago, started with the production of cologne in a small workshop. PE RE JA lemon flower cologne, which is highly appreciated for its quality and unique scent, had become the most preferred cologne in Turkey by the end of the 1950s.
Our company, which entered the industrialization process in the early 1960s, started a project to build a new factory. Seyfi Arkan, the famous architect of our country, also known as Atatürk's architect, designed Turkey's first cosmetics and perfumery factory.
The factory, one of Seyfi Arkan's last period buildings, was designed by him between 1963 and 1966. The construction of the building, which ground has been broken with cologne instead of water on 4 March 1966, in Istanbul Bahçelievler, was completed on 9 July 1967. Prime Minister of that time Süleyman Demirel, Governor of Istanbul Vefa Poyraz and Mayor of Istanbul Haşim İşcan also attended the opening of the factory. There was a large crowd at the opening of the factory.
In this building, where cosmetic products other than cologne and perfumery products are produced, PE RE JA has become the most well-known brand in Turkey.
The brand, which received the best perfume and best shampoo awards in Europe in the 1970s, announced its success in the international arena.
The company, which continued its activities in this building until the 2000s, moved to its new campus in Edirne to respond to larger production needs.
PE RE JA Edirne factory is an integrated production facility where all stages from packaging and essence production to the filling process are realized, with a closed area of 25,000 square meters, built on an area of 100,000 square meters.
